Sunday Afternoon Murder Club
The illustrious members of the Sunday Afternoon Murder Club, Simon and Jan Barrett, Mannie Barling, Denny Griffin, Dave Knechel and William Cobra Staubs will be holding ‘court’ on the recent developments in a number of crime cases. We have an update on the Casey Anthony saga. Sideshows are popping up all over the place, and just like Casey Anthony herself, it is difficult to figure out fact from fiction. I have to admit that I am surprised at how quiet … Continue reading

Casey Anthony’s Attorney’s Wife Complains About Threatening Phone Calls
Jose Baez and Cheney Mason seem to have shown pride in what I call managing to get a murderer off the hook in the eyes of the law. Jose Baez claims that the public needs to learn to respect the laws and accept the juror’s verdict in the case when they found Casey not guilty of murdering her two year old daughter, Caylee Marie Anthony. Well has he heard anything about what some of those jurors are saying now? Has … Continue reading

The National Enquirer At It’s Finest
There is something unique about the Enquirer, it will leave no potential sordid story alone. I can only assume that it has been a slow week for Elvis sightings and JFK once again refused an exclusive interview from his Dachau just outside Moscow. The folks at the Enquirer know a story when they see it. And the hot ticket in town this week is Casey Anthony. They have ‘tested the water’ with the Casey Anthony before, and at least one … Continue reading

Can You Name This Trio?
This picture apparently was taken on July 16th in Orlando Florida. It is not an Ansel Adams work, but it is interesting. Can you name them? And more importantly, why would they have been meeting? It is an interesting triumvirate that one would think might have very different individual goals. Only time will tell. Simon Barrett

Casey Anthony Attorney, Dorothy Sims Avoids Questions By Giving Indirect Answers
Tonight on the Joy Behar Show on CNN’s sister station, HLN, Behar’s guest was Dorothy Clay Sims, one of the attorney’s for Casey Anthony. Personally it seemed to me that Sims was more or less there to babysit Anthony during the trial though. Sims was the one that seemed to be coaching Casey letting her know when it was time to cry or look upset during the trial. She sat next to her comforting her like a mother hen would … Continue reading

What Really Happened To 16 Year Old Phylicia Barnes?
At the end of December in 2010, a 16 year old girl from North Carolina went to Baltimore to visit with family for the holidays. She told her sister, Deena Barnes, who she was staying with that she was going shopping and that is the last time anyone in the family saw her. The 16 year old was a straight “A” student with a bright future ahead of her. She had graduated early from Union Academy in Monroe and according … Continue reading
