Now this case has me a bit confused but I am trying to figure it out. It is being reported that a woman from Tampa, Florida returned to her home and could not remember where her 3 year old daughter, Iveliz Marie Flores was. According to tampabay.com this was after 32 year old Lisa Flores had taken 25 Xanax pills. I can’t imagine taking that many pills at one time and still being alive much less keeping your memory in tact.
Apparently the mother left the child in their apartment on Saturday about 5 pm while she went to buy the pills according to the arrest affidavit. Although it isn’t clear if the child was alone at the time or not but a friend of the mother’s was at the apartment later that day and says they were worried about the little girl.
The friend told authorities that Lisa Flores was smoking marijuana when she left the apartment again Saturday night around 9 pm but didn’t return and the friend didn’t want to leave the child there alone so when he left around 10:30 he took the child with him.
The mother didn’t return home until sometimes Sunday and couldn’t remember what she did with her daughter and she reporter her missing around 6 pm. Once deputies started the search for the little girl the friend brought little Iveliz home around 10:20 pm when she saw Iveliz’s picture on the news and being reported as missing. The Dept. of Children and Families are now investigating this case, as they should have done before now.
Lisa Flores was arrested and she was charged with child neglect and violating probation for a previous grand theft arrest. She remains behind bars in the Hillsborough County Jail without bond.
Flores is no stranger to the officers in Hillsborough County. She has been arrested 6 times in the county with her previous charges including grand theft, petty theft, bringing contraband into a correctional facility, shoplifting, drug trafficking and driving under the influence. Great record for the mother of a three year old child huh? She shouldn’t even have custody of her daughter.

Thank God the friend had enough sense to take the baby with them.
Sounds like another KC Anthony. Young twit on pills not caring for there children, This woman needs intervention not only for her childs safety but for her own. Everyone around her would benefit from her gaining access to help.
I would also hope she has a medical marijuana card!
