Blue Murder Set 3 is a 2 DVD set that is about a single Mom, Janine Lewis, who is a Detective Chief Inspector. When people ask her what she does for a living she describes her job as being a “crisis management”. She supervises a squad of cops investigating some of Manchester’s most brutal highly publicized crimes. She has to wrestle between soccer practices, field trips, and school work for her four children. She has to handle the daily crisis with energy and aplomb, protecting her kids as well as the detectives under her command with a fierce maternal affection.
In Episode One, Not a Matter of Life and Death is about a football star, Duane Kent gets stabbed in a street brawl and Lewis’s team has to investigate it. They soon learn that the dead boy apparently led a double life and he was far from the good son his parents, girlfriend and coaches thought he was.
Episode two, Desperate Measures brings up Dr Donald Halliwell. While in the middle of a much publicized malpractice lawsuit, the doctor is shot dead, just outside his office. A disgruntled doctor in Halliwell’s practice disappears. Janine and Richard manage to uncover a real mess in the doctor’s personal and professional life during their investigation and they find plenty of motive for murder.
In Episode three, Crisis Management there is only a week before the regiments deployment to the Persian Gulf, a sergeant major dies on the supposedly confines of his base. He is the victim of a vicious attack. Janine is called to the scene and she is quite taken by her handsome military counterpart in the investigation. Richard thinks the military has its own agenda and his suspicions involve more than mere jealousy.
I think you would enjoy this set of DVD’s. In fact it might make a great Christmas gift for someone. You can buy it at Amazon.
