Zahra Baker
The father of the 10 year old Australian girl, Zahra Baker, that had been dismembered and her body parts scattered in different areas, has been arrested on identity theft charges and for obtaining property by false pretenses.
Zahra’s stepmother, Elisa Baker has been charged with second degree murder and is in jail now. She was arrested for obstruction of justice shortly after Zahra was reported missing by her father. Elisa admitted to writing a fake ransom note that the police had found. Elisa has denied any wrongdoing and accuses her husband of dismembering his daughter’s body after Zahra had died from an illness.
A lot of people have to question why Adam Baker has not been charged in the murder of his daughter as well but police say there is no evidence connecting him to the murder. Baker has denied any involvement in the death or dismemberment of his daughter.
The new charges against Adam Baker are from last July when the Bakers first moved from Caldwell County to Hickory North Carolina. He had applied for electrical services with Duke Energy. Other charges against Baker include writing bad checks and communicating threats.

Jail records show that the federal immigration officials have issued a detainer order for Baker which will prevent him from leaving the country while the order is in effect. Word was that Baker was looking to return to Australia but he had to try to get his passport back in order to do so.
A meeting had been planned between Baker’s attorney and the district attorney but obviously that meeting is now on hold. He will not be allowed to leave the United States until all his legal cases against him are settled.
I pray that little Zahra will get some kind justice in all of this. She was a beautiful child that fought so hard to survive in this world and to have her life taken from her was bad but the way she was disposed of afterwards was disgusting and very wrong. She didn’t deserve that. I know she is in a better place now with God and the angels looking down at all of this. I pray she knows that the rest of America is on her side and the Americans will be fighting for her to see that she does get justice here.

Hi Jan……somehow it strikes me ‘funny, odd or just plain strange’ that these charges are only being
lodged against Adam Baker…. so soon after Adam made the annoucement that he wants to return to Australia now since the authorities knew of this ID Theft….since last July.
OR were they secretly holding onto this little bit of news re Adam….thinking that between July and
now charges would have been coming against him for the MURDER AND DISMEMBERMENT OF LITTLE ZAHRA?
If not murder……most certainly for Obstruction of Evidence….because he made so many twisting statements about the last time he actually saw Zahra.
I’m also sure that the Hickory Police had him under surveillence all this time hoping he would slip
up somehow…..and perhaps visit other places where Elisa placed Zahra’s remains.
THIS POOR INNOCENT CHILD was murdered at the hands of those who should have been her caregivers and
parents. IMO, Adam Baker doesn’t have the lily white hands he claims to have and I feel he was an
accomplice to Elisa……in Zahra’s death.
WHERE IS ZAHRA’S SKULL??? HOW MUCH OF HER REMAINS HAVE BEEN FOUND with her prosthetic leg?
WHY HASN’T ELISA TOLD THE POLICE SINCE SHE BROUGHT THEM TO VARIOUS AREAS IN THE SEARCH FOR ZAHRA?

However, precious smiling Zahra is now free of the pain she suffered while here on this earth
and I also feel she is still smiling the smile that has endured her to everyone on God’s green earth.
